Bonnie Ciuffo
CPA, CIA President, SCF Solutions

Bonnie joined South Carolina Federal Credit Union in 1994 as the Director of Internal Audit. After leading the credit union’s core processing conversion in 1996, she was asked and agreed to move to the position of CIO where she served until 2012.

In 2011, she was appointed to President of SCF Solutions, LLC where she leads a team of Executive Directors for various product lines to include Investments, Insurance, Benefits, and Indirect Lending.

Bonnie considers herself a “jack of all trades” with emphasis in technology, data analysis, knowledge management, accounting, finance, project management, compliance, credit union operations, business performance management and mergers & acquisitions.

Bonnie’s leadership and foresight is continually called upon, and she has served on a number of professional boards such as the Board of Directors for the FiServ Summit Users Group for 6 years, and their Audit Committee for a number of years. She also served on the Information Technology Advisory Group for PSCU for several years.

In 2012, the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) named Bonnie Professional of the Year.

Committed to the local community, Bonnie was instrumental in the creation of the South Carolina Federal Credit Union Foundation. She served as its Chairman for three years. She now serves as the treasurer. Bonnie also serves on the Trident United Way Financial Review Council.

Bonnie holds certifications in public accounting (CPA), internal auditing (CIA) and a BS in Accounting from Clemson University. Bonnie is married with two step children and two 4-legged children.

Amy J. Spillman
PMP, Executive Director of Operations & Marketing,

SCF Solutions

As the Executive Director of Operations & Marketing for SCF Solutions since 2013, Amy oversees marketing, sales, and operational activities for all lines of business within the SCF Solutions family of products/services, including: employee benefit programs, HR support services, strategic planning and leadership development training, indirect lending solutions for credit unions, insurance programs, and secure data center facility/storage services.

Having dedicated over two decades of her career to the credit union industry, Amy relocated from Illinois and joined the South Carolina Federal Credit Union team as a Project Manager in 2009. Her professional background includes expertise in project management, quality program administration, business process analysis, records and forms management, call center management, and office operations.

Currently serving her second 2-year term as the Vice President of Administration for the Charleston Chapter of The Project Management Institute (PMI), Amy actively encourages the utilization of project management tools and standards within the industry. She has previously served as Treasurer for the Central Illinois Chapter of the Association of Records Managers & Administrators (ARMA) and also as the Newsletter Editor for the Central Illinois National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).

Actively involved in the community, Amy supports numerous local organizations and events, including the Charleston Youth Company, Trident United Way, ITN Charleston, Children’s Hospital, and Water Missions International.

She holds her PMP certification and received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL.

Amy is married and enjoys reading, musical theater, and traveling with her husband.




Bridget Hearn
Bridget Hearn
Director of Sales, SCF Solutions

Prior to joining SCF Solutions, Bridget worked as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant for Dorchester District 2 schools and owned a successful choreography business specializing in High School Color Guard/Winterguard programs in Ohio, South Carolina, and Georgia. She worked for SC Federal Credit Union between 2005-2013, where she gained experience in Business Services, Cash Management, Project and Contract Management. Well-respected by her peers, Bridget was awarded ‘Employee of Choice’ for both project participation and audit.

Selected as the Director of Sales for SCF Solutions in 2014, Bridget’s focus is on building and maintaining client relationships. Drawing on her diverse background, she is able to evaluate clients’ needs and offer strategic business solutions.

Volunteer work has always played a role in Bridget’s life, both personally and professionally. She previously served two years as the Vice President of Community Outreach for the Charleston Chapter of The Project Management Institute (PMI) and served four years as Vice-Chairman for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Total Resource campaign.

Bridget received her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Charleston Southern University and is the proud mother of two grown children.




Rick Gunter
Rick Gunter
Executive Director, Insurance Solutions

Rick Gunter, CLU, ChFC, LTCP, has over 30 years of experience in sales and management in the financial services industry. He has recruited, trained, and supervised agents and registered representatives for major financial services firms in Charlotte, NC and Charleston, SC. Since 2002 he has worked with individuals, businesses, and retirees on insurance and retirement planning. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Furman University and holds earned professional designations in insurance planning, financial planning, and long-term care. He is a frequent public speaker on financial topics and has given presentations across the U.S. and in Europe.

Rick is available to South Carolina Federal Credit Union members – and non-members – to provide advice and education as well as offering a variety of insurance solutions, including life insurance, vision, dental, long-term care, disability, and Medicare supplements.

Rick resides in Charleston with his wife Nancy; he has two grown children and one grandchild.

Rick Kirkpatrick
Executive Director of Agency Operations, Insurance Solutions

Rick Kirkpatrick, CLU, LUTCF, FSS, has 34 years of experience in sales, management, and the financial services industry. He was a Million Dollar Roundtable qualifier his first year in business and then moved into management. Rick is currently the Executive Director of Agency Operations for SCF Solutions’ Property & Casualty division.

Rick currently oversees the business development and strategic initiatives for SCF Solutions’ agency operations and is committed to ensuring that South Carolina Federal Credit Union members – and non-members – are provided with a full range of high-quality insurance products and supported by a competent team of licensed agents. Available insurance products and coverage include home, renters, auto, umbrella liability, commercial, recreational, and marine products.

Rick lives on Daniel Island with his wife Dianna; he is the proud father of 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, boating, and spending time with his family.

President, Benefits Solutions

James W. Fede (Jim) joined the SCF Solutions team in 2013 as the President of Innovatus Benefit Solutions, LLC. With over 30 years of experience in the employee benefits field, Jim is a master at leveraging his extensive industry knowledge for the benefit of his clients.

In 1999, Jim redirected his passion and industry expertise to focus on the creation of his own Employee Benefit Consulting firm, Innova Plan Strategies, LLC. Jim has saved businesses millions of bottom line dollars with a major focus on Welfare & Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution plans.

Jim builds relationships and conducts business through client successes, crafting benefit programs that are a win for both human resources and finance departments. He delivers value and innovative solutions by transforming the mechanisms through which employers attract, retain and compensate top-quality talent.

SCF Solutions purchased Innova Plan Strategies, LLC in late 2013, thereby expanding the means and opportunity for providing high quality, competitive, and needs-based employee benefit products and programs to small businesses and credit unions throughout the Southeast. As President of Innovatus Benefit Solutions, Jim continues to negotiate, educate, and advocate for his clients to satisfy their needs and exceed expectations.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University. He presently serves as an Elder at Forest Hill Church.

Jim and his wife, Dineen, have four children and a beloved family dog named Bella.
